Open eShop, select 'Demos', select filter, select sort software, select latest. Now they are in proper release order.

Some few demos allow you to rate the demo too. *

There is a limited amount of times a demo can be launched/played. Some games allow transferring save data to full version of the game, but you must have at least one or two launches left. *

Demos range from short to very large. Like Radiant Historia Perfect Chronology being 10+ hours long while something else is like 5 minutes or so. *

Some demos limit where you can go, but allow you to keep grinding exp and levels. Some have level caps though. *

Been a while since i played the demo of Radiant Historia Perfect Chronology. Got access to that extra dungeon where you can re-remember how the game worked again + get some extra equips in the full version. Note: I have the original DS version from 2011 and have cleared it some years ago. *
