The old one can stay up to even 40 minutes while blinking red.

There's actually a problem with my 'new' 3DS battery. So i can't get a proper comparison. Old 3DS still lasts over 30 min on red depending on game. *

It has been in active use for 5 years. I just noticed the back side of it is slightly swollen on the right side (the side where the 3D slider is). Also the web browser in the new 3DS has quirks. *
